Unfortunately Barry Nelson, to whom we are indebted for all his valuable work, has decided he needs to stand down and hand over the reigns to someone else. Barry will however be available to advise and assist the next post holder.
We are well supported in Wallington North with members in 89% of the roads and would like to hear from anyone interested in the role. It is essential for us to fill this important position for Neighbourhood Watch in your ward to prosper.
With over 6,500 enrolled members in Sutton, we are clearly the largest association in London and pivotal to this success are the Ward Co-ordinators.
Primarily Ward Co-ordinators keep in touch with their members and liaises with their Police Safer Neighbourhoods Team, passing on information and advice to ensure that issues of concern to their members are dealt with as promptly as possible.
As full committee members of the Association, Ward Co-ordinators play a central role in directing the Association and represents the Association and their members on the Metropolitan Police's Ward Panels.
It's important to bear in mind that Ward Co-ordinators are well supported in performing the role and it should not take up very much of their time or be difficult or demanding.
